What we collect
If you sign up for email updates, we collect your email address, the states you choose, and whether you want general PSAPHub updates. Our email provider records that you confirmed your subscription.
If you create an account or post a job, we collect your username, your email address, and the details you enter on the posting form, such as the agency name, the agency email address, the job description, and the role type. We also keep a record that you certified you are authorized to post on behalf of the agency.
Like most websites, our web server and security tools may log technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. WordPress also sets cookies to keep you signed in if you have an account.
How we use it
We use your email address and state choices to send the job postings and updates you asked for. We use account and posting information to run the job board, review submissions, and contact you about a posting. We may use technical logs to keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Who handles it for us
We use outside services to run the site. Hostinger hosts the website. Cloudflare provides DNS and email forwarding for our domain. Brevo stores our email list and sends our emails, including confirmation messages and job posting notices. OpenStreetMap supplies the map tiles on our PSAP map, so your browser requests those tiles from their servers. Each service has its own privacy policy.
Job postings you submit are published on the site once approved, along with the agency details you entered. Please do not include personal information about other people in a posting.
Unsubscribing and your choices
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] and ask us to remove you from the list, update your state choices, or delete your account and the information tied to it. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
How long we keep it
We keep email list information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep account and job posting records for as long as the account or posting is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for record keeping.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
PSAPHub is intended for adults looking for public safety jobs and for agencies posting them. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top.
